Even with good dental hygiene and regular checkups, patients cannot plan for an emergency. If you or your child have experienced a dental emergency or injury, call our office right away. Dental emergencies involve infection or injury of the teeth, tongue, jaw bone, and soft tissues around the mouth. Our compassionate and professional dental team offer same-day emergency dentistry in Norcross to help all our patients get the care they deserve.

What is a Dental Emergency?

A dental emergency can happen when you least expect it, such as chipped, cracked or broken teeth, loose or broken dental repair work, or pain and swelling due to a tooth infection. Severe toothaches, broken dentures, abscesses, gum, lip, and tongue swelling should also be treated as an emergency. Dental injuries often result from accidents or sports-related trauma. These can include chipped, cracked or broken teeth, loose teeth, knocked out teeth, lacerations of the lips, tongue or cheeks, or bleeding.

Call Our Office

If you or your child are experiencing severe pain, swelling, or bleeding, call our office right away. At-home or over-the-counter remedies, such as pain relievers or warm compresses, can provide temporary relief of your symptoms. However, they will not treat the cause or provide lasting relief. Only a trained dental professional can assist you and provide knowledgable care. We offer same-day emergency appointments and will do everything we can to see you or your child as soon as possible.

Is an emergency dental exam expensive?



The total cost of your treatment will depend on your case and unique needs. That said, we strive to provide affordable dental care at transparent prices, including all emergency services. Our office also offers flexible financing options and a dental membership plan to help you cover all out-of-pocket expenses.

Can you see me today?



Our team does everything we can to accommodate the needs of emergency patients. We try to leave room in our schedule for emergency patients and offer same-day or next-day appointments to get you in as quickly as possible. Walk-ins are accepted as scheduling permits. We can’t guarantee appointment times, so be sure to call us in case of an accident or emergency.

Should I go to the ER for a dental emergency?



Dental emergencies can sometimes be frightening, happening when we least expect them. We understand your first instinct may be to go to the hospital for emergency care. However, unless you’re experiencing severe symptoms of uncontrolled bleeding or swelling, you should contact your local dentist right away. Emergency rooms are not set up to treat dental emergencies or injuries. Be sure to call your dentist for the care you need.
