Root Canals

If you had a tooth with a diseased nerve there is a special dental procedure called a root canal therapy that may save that tooth. Inside each tooth is the pulp which provides nutrients and nerves to the tooth, it runs like a thread down through the root. When the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue dies. If you don't remove it, your tooth gets infected and you could lose it. After the dentist removes the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it. Then your dentist places a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger.

Root canal procedures do not have to be painful.  However, putting off a root canal procedure can be very painful.  Failure to treat an infected tooth can lead to further infection, abscesses and even tooth loss.  Our Norcross dental practice offers Nitrous Oxide (relaxing gas) as well local Sedation Dentistry to keep our patients relaxed and free of pain during root canal procedures.

While visiting our office, patients enjoy comfort items such as blankets and chair side computers.  Our patients also benefit from the latest technology including digital radiography (X-rays).

If you are in need of root canal procedure, don’t risk your oral health by failing to seek treatment.  Contact our office at Norcross Dental Associates today to schedule an appointment.  We look forward to serving you and your family.

Our Happy Patients

"I have been going here for years. I always have great service. I was early for my cleaning appointment. The person before me didn't show up and I was able to get in instead of just waiting in the waiting room. Thanks!"

"I have been seeing Dr. Risse for several years and have been very happy. She is very knowledgeable and also easy to talk to. I never feel like she is trying to upsell me. She seems to really have my best interests at heart. Melissa, her assistant, is also great. I have referred them to several friends"

"I've never been so content with a dental practice! In all my years of searching for an ideal practice that wouldn't make me feel so guilty for not always keeping up with myself.. this place made me feel warm. My hygienist is awesome and super informative. The greatest thing about my experience, thus far, is how dedicated they are to make sure they get me on the right track so I can have a beautiful smile again. As I've aged, I've set aside time for myself and this year I made it a goal to really focus on making myself happy by starting with the simple things like braces, eating right, etc. Thank you Tina for making my first visit so awesome! And thanks to the front desk ladies! They are so down to earth!"
